The accommodation tax rate in Kyoto City will be revised starting from March 1 (Sunday), 2026.
The new tax rate will apply to stays beginning on March 1(Sunday), 2026.

Before revision [until Saturday, February 2026, 2]
　Accommodation fee (per person per night) Less than 1 yen: 1 yen
　Accommodation fee (per person per night) 1 yen or more and less than 1 yen: 6,000 yen
　Accommodation fee (per person per night) 1 yen or more and less than 1 yen: 20,000 yen
　Accommodation fee (per person per night) 1 yen or more and less than 1 yen: 50,000 yen
　Accommodation fee (per person per night) 1 yen or more: 1 yen

After revision [From Sunday, March 2026, 3]
　Accommodation fee (per person per night) Less than 1 yen: 1 yen
　Accommodation fee (per person per night) 1 yen or more and less than 1 yen: 6,000 yen
　Accommodation fee (per person per night) 1 yen or more and less than 1 yen: 20,000 yen
　Accommodation fee (per person per night) 1 yen or more and less than 1 yen: 50,000 yen
