Notice of Accommodation Tax Implementation

Dear Guests,
Thank you for your continued patronage of Hotel Monterey Edelhof Sapporo.

In accordance with Hokkaido Prefecture regulations, an accommodation tax will be implemented for all stays at Hotel Monterey Edelhof Sapporo beginning April 1st, 2026 (Wednesday).

■Accommodation Tax Rate
- Less than JPY19,999：JPY300
*Tax breakdown: JPY100 Prefectural Tax, JPY200 Municipal Tax.

- From JPY20,000 to less than JPY49,999 : JPY400
*Tax breakdown: JPY200 Prefectural Tax, JPY200 Municipal Tax.

- From JPY50,000 or more : JPY1,000
*Tax breakdown: JPY500 Prefectural Tax, JPY500 Municipal Tax.(excluding tax and meals) per person per night.

■Tax Exemptions
※Infants, children, students, and their chaperones participating in school excursions or other school events organized by a school (excluding universities) as stipulated in Article 1 of the School Education Act.
※Children aged 3 and above, and their chaperones, participating in events conducted by accredited child development centers, nursery schools, family-based childcare facilities, etc., implemented either by the entire facility or by age-group clusters.

The accommodation tax will be collected separately at the front desk upon check-in.
