Notice of changes to Kyoto City accommodation tax (effective from Sunday, March 1, 2026)
The accommodation tax rate for Kyoto City will be revised as follows, effective March 1, 2026. The revised tax rate will apply to stays on and after Sunday, March 1, 2026, regardless of the date on which the reservation was made. The accommodation tax is charged per person per night, based on the accommodation fee.
