    Togetsu Bridge in Arashiyama

Arashiyama is a scenic spot located in the west area of Kyoto city. One of its standout features is Togetsu Bridge. Meaning 'moon crossing', this elegant bridge spans an impressive 155 meters in length, while Mt. Arashiyama provides a stunning, scenic backdrop: cherry blossom in spring, forest green in summer, autumn leaves in fall, and snow scenes in winter. It truly does look like a painting come to life. A short distance from the Togetsu Bridge is the magnificent strolling-pond garden at Tenryu-ji Temple, and right next to that is Arashiyama’s famous Bamboo Grove.
